I have few 10-pointers to give out, and I think all recipients are owned!

Politics:

Are we now?  Yesterday, Super Tuesday, I had my Barack Obama moment of clarity.  Regardless of his views, regardless of his experience, the sheer social impact of his being President really got me excited.  For that reason alone, I have declared my allegiance to his campaign.  +10 for the world of possibilities he represents.  +3 more for his speech last night... he is enjoyable to listen to.

Voting for him yesterday was fun.  I put on my "Lil' Wayne For President" shirt and walked over to the church to vote.  Guess what came up on my iPod? Wyclef's "President"!  Awesome.  +5 to Weezy and Clef.

As I watched the election coverage, I became nostalgic over Hillary.  I'd wanted her to run for about 8 years now, and I always anticipated voting for her.  Sorry, Hillary.  Then I got emotional during he speech last night when she spoke of her mother, who didn't even have the right to vote, prior to the women's rights movement!  Ish is deep, son.  +3 for her speech.


Music:

I'm almost done converting all my old VHS tapes to DVDs, and the last few hold mostly old music videos and random stuff I taped over the years.  I saw a great old Warren G and Nate Dogg video yesterday, so +5 to each for lifetime achievement.  I also saw the video for what I am about to declare as my favorite song of all-time:  "Street Dreams (Remix)" by Nas featuring R. Kelly.  11 years later, I can still put that on repeat and just rock the hell out of it.  This is a big moment, as "Scenario" by A Tribe Called Quest has ALWAYS held the top spot.  I even had a vanity plate reading "SENARIO" in high school.  This monumental moment earns Nas and Kells +10 each.


Basketball:

Pau Gasol earned last night's L.O.N.nie, but no life points for that.  Due to how fucking good they are now, I'm back in full-scale Lakers hate mode.  Some points did come from that game, though:  +3 to Richard Jefferson for inadvertently tripping Kobe and +3 to Vinsanity for a dunk face on D.J. Mbenga.

Also, on one of those old VHS tapes, I recorded a video game (NBA Live) highlight of Shareef Abdur-Rahim dunking on various Utah Jazz, back when he played in Vancouver!  Ha, awesome.  +3 to him.


Miscellaneous:

PTI's Michael Wilbon recently suffered a heart attack and sat out the show for a while.  He returned this week... welcome back, Mike!  +3.

I continue to ask... why didn't anybody tell me about Norm MacDonald back in the day?  +3 for another old video clip, this time from his appearance on the Dennis Miller Show.
